Coconut Oil: The Benefits Explained!

 

I’m constantly hearing people talk about coconut oil (amzn.to/1K790rX) and how “amazing” it is. But, I always found it so overwhelming to get to the bottom of how exactly to use it and why. So, I have enlisted our brilliant health expert, Tara Felice, to explain to us just how we should be using it right now!

Andrea: What are the best ways for us to use Coconut Oil?

Tara:    1) Eating (baking)- Use in place of butter and other oils for anything.

              2) Moisturizer- On skin, lips, dry hair. It works better than anything and you actually WANT it absorbed into your skin and bloodstream.

              3) Solvent- Amazing on minor cuts and burns.

Andrea: What health benefits can we get from using Coconut Oil?

Tara: The health benefits are endless. Most importantly coconut oil contains a host of vitamins and minerals that are easily absorbed and utilized by the body. It acts as an antibiotic, an antiviral, and a natural boost to immunity. The specific type of fat in coconut oil (MCT’s) have been proven to improve cognitive function.

There is so much! Coconut oil is basically good for everything! You should keep one in the kitchen, one in the bathroom, one in the medicine cabinet!
