Fall Fashion: Date Night

Lately, when I’ve been getting dressed, I’ve been really obsessed with combining sophisticated and deconstructed elements. I love the juxtaposition of “put-together” and “edgy”, so that’s the way I styled our perfect date night look for fall this year. Please do not be afraid of your age, because this look is not scandalous and it can work for anyone. Fashion is all about your spirit and attitude.

  • Solid Sleeveless Tee: I could not find a solid sleeveless tee (that is not meant for working out) that is fitted yet casual. So, we will have to take a solid short sleeve shirt and cut the sleeves off at the seam that connects the shoulder to the sleeve. Don’t worry about it fraying a little, because that will help with the edgy vibe we want.
  • Dark Wide Leg DenimThis style of denim is perfect for a night out because they look spiffy. (Depending on what industry you work in, you could even get away with pairing them with an item jacket and wearing them to the office.)
  • Glittery Pointed-Toe Stilettos: This type of shoe definitely adds sophistication and pizazz. (If you bought the H&M Metallic Pumps from our New Year’s Eve Article you can definitely wear those instead of buying this new pair!)
  • Black Slouchy ClutchI would use this for a date night without the cross-body strap and I would remove the tassel so it is more laid-back and understated. This bag is a great investment. I have one that is similar that I’ve literally been using for over a decade. It is so easy in the sense that it goes with most of my “night out” outfits (as long as I’m going somewhere more casual than a cocktail party).

Have fun and remember I love you!
