One-Pot Wonders: Holiday Leftovers!

It’s the day after Christmas and it was a fabulous day, but now to relax! The day after Christmas also means…leftover turkey! What to do with all that turkey?! When I was young, my Mom would make tuna noodle casserole, so I had the idea to substitute the turkey for the tuna. Who wants to cook more? So, I decided, let’s try and make it a “one pot wonder”! Turkey One-Pot Wonder 4 cups chopped cooked turkey 2 large chopped potatoes 3 large chopped carrots 2 stalks chopped celery 1 cup chopped onions 4 (10 ¾ oz) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup 2 cups chicken broth 4 tablespoons butter 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning 1. Mix the turkey, potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, soup, chicken broth, butter, garlic powder and poultry seasoning in a slow cooker. 2. Cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4 hours. Grab some of those leftover dinner rolls from Christmas Dinner and enjoy! Dio ti benedica! (God Bless you)!

At the last minute, our set had to change for the shoot. With a different set, we needed a whole new art direction. What I ended up styling is one of my favorite looks of all time…

So many memories come to mind, near and far, when I think about the Holiday Season and baking Christmas Cookies with my grandmother, mother, brother, and son. The process always consists of days of prepping, baking, and decorating, topped off with eating all of the delicious goodies of course!
