Is it Sadness or Pride?

The biggest dangers to the human mind are confusion and lies. If we don’t acknowledge every thought that travels through our brain, ideas and beliefs that are absolutely NOT TRUE can easily set up camp and we will be mislead. One of the biggest misconceptions we can fall for happens when we don’t address our feelings head on. We can very easily confuse….

Spring Cleaning

People are lunching outdoors, hem lines are creeping up, Fifth Avenue is a runway for this season’s sunglasses, and summer is right around the corner in NYC! Time to break out the peep toes and sandals and put away the boots and furs, but what does this mean for your hair? Spring cleaning is just as imperative for your locks as it is for anything else…

Simple Vanilla Valentine’s Day Cupcakes

February may be the shortest month of the year (and one of the coldest in New York), but Valentine’s Day brings many out to shop for a special gift for their loved ones. This year consider baking something from the heart instead. Here is a quick and easy recipe that you can make to show your love…

Winter Dates in NYC

Date night is fabulous, but I also love date DAY! I don’t think a special outing with Husband should be limited to just one chunk of the day. Andrea’s ready to be surprised, wined, and dined at any hour! These are my favorite NYC spots that make the perfect winter date…

Modern Marriage

I think being a lady is hard. We’re constantly being judged by friends, employers, employees, children, mothers, significant others, and even ourselves. We have so many roles to fill and in 2016, we can go from feeling like we have it all to feeling like we have nothing, in a matter of an hour. Life is complicated, and I think that it’s severely complicated our understanding of what can be the fabulous position of wife or lady-friend. I don’t like a complicated life, so it’s time we get to the bottom of this…

Lies Explode Like Eggs in a Microwave

Don’t lie. Life will be much simpler.

Even lies that seem to start out small or “harmless” will erode sooner than later and just cause us more trouble. We’ll end up becoming stressed and confused and life will be harder for us than if we just told the truth in the first place.

To avoid lying, we have to get to the bottom of why people do it in the first place. There are two answers:

The Power of Love

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr. In times of much devastation and death, please ask yourself…Why do we only show support for one another during times of need? We should all show support for one another each and every day. Not only our family and friends who are here on US soil, but our fellow man/woman all over the world. We must share prayer, not only for those who share our path of life, but for those who choose to conduct these hateful crimes! They need our prayers too…everyone needs prayer! We cannot stop a wrongful and brutal situation after it has already happened. Start today by putting “your” power aside and providing the power of love to all of those around you!  We must stand together and be proactive! “When the Power of Love overcomes the Love of Power, the World will know true PEACE!” ~ Sri Chinmoy Ghose
