Everyone has their favorite Thanksgiving staple; it may be mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, or even Grandma’s stuffing! Our family has added a new staple to our Thanksgiving and Holiday menu that you should consider too! Broccoli Salad!
3 cups fresh broccoli florets (washed & cut)
2 cups red grapes (washed & halved)
1 cup or 1 small bag shredded carrots
1 package bacon bits
1 package glazed slivered almonds or pecans
1 package dried cranberries (We enjoy blueberry or pomegranate infused!)
4 – 6 tablespoons mayonnaise
1/8 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup sugar
Optional: apple slices or chopped red onion
- In a bowl, combine the broccoli, grapes, carrots, bacon bits, almonds, and cranberries (apples or red onion optional).
- Mix in the mayonnaise, lemon juice, and sugar.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight for best taste or for at least 1-2 hours before serving.
